Container Prices

Whether you are buying 1 cargo container, or 40 shipping containers, everyone wants to get the best possible price. Here at USContainerSales.com our goal is to help customers compare prices on container sales from multiple local companies, and ultimately help them get the best possible price every time. Container pricing will depend primarily on factors such as the type of container (shipping, cargo, storage), size of the container (10 ft, 20 ft, 40 ft), and the condition (new and used).

Shipping Container Prices

When customers talk about shipping containers for sale, they are usually talking about used shipping containers that have at least one trip. Shipping Containers are usually built in China and shipped to the United States, and once they are here they will be sold to customers. These containers are usually in great condition, and typically cost about $4,000-$5,000. If a shipping container has been used more than one trip, or has structural or cosmetic damage it will cost significantly less.

Storage Container Prices

Customers who are looking to buy storage containers have two options, portable storage containers and steel storage containers. Portable storage containers are typically smaller, and made out of less secure materials, making them both cheaper and more lightweight. They are more suited for indoor storage compared to steel storage containers (which are much more like shipping containers). Portable storage containers are more difficult to purchase as they are normally rented, but you can often purchase them for about $2,000-$4,000. You can usually buy steel storage containers for a little more, about $3,500-$5,000.

Cargo Container Prices

Cargo containers typically cost about $4,000-$6,000. If you are looking to buy a used cargo container you should expect to pay anywhere from $1,500-$4,000 depending on both the size and condition of the container.
